What: Ring Clerking School
When: Friday, October 12, 2018 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm
Where: Ferndale Events Center (the Show Hall)
Cost: $10 per person (see Summary Sheet)
Instructor: Elaine Hawksworth-Weitz, Approved Allbreed Judge

The goal of the ring clerking school is to provide basic training to those interested in becoming confident, competent, and efficient ring clerks. Attending this school also satisfies one of the requirements to ultimately become a certified TICA Ring Clerk.

Topics will include:

  • Role of the Ring Clerk
  • Review of TICA's clerking program and its requirements
  • Review of Show Rules and procedures as they applied to the Ring Clerk
  • Ring protocol
  • Clerking mechanics: setting up a ring, marking a catalog correctly, making transfers, completing finals pages, and checking judges' sheets)
  • Written test
